Gracetown, the coastal cousin of Cowtown, also in the south west of WA is a spectacular seaside town. The landscape, raw and unspoiled in every way sloping down to meet pristine aqua blue waters. Surfers, fishermen, locals and visitors realize what a gem this place is. I was captivated by the stunning winter light on this particular day as it cast interesting shadows from the gnarly Melaleucas in the foreground leading the eye beyond to the sparkling diamonds on the Indian Ocean and I just had to try to capture it in this watercolour.
